Creating a Blog is Easy

Creating a blog is so easy now that most systems only require a simple form to be filled out and you are in on the basic platform in minutes. Many have advanced features to allow you to customize your pages to match your personality and some even give options for very advanced html coding, or image insertions.

Companies use blogs to keep clients and customers informed and to spread the word about their services or products. People of all walks of life still use blogs to communicate the same information blogs became so popular for – everyday diaries. Some are developed to answer questions either of a broad nature, or on specific subjects, or lecture on subjects important to the blog owner (blogger).

If you want to create a blog, it is a job that would require no more than 30 minutes. Even beginners who are building their first blog can create it in a few very easy steps.

In the most basic of blog building the only thing you have to do is to register on a blog hosting site, like MySpace or Bravenet. During registration choose your domain name and start sharing information with the online community. It is that easy. As far as using blogging software, you would need to pay for its use. However, using a blog host site will help you avoid this cost though the features could be more limited. If you want to develop blogs for monetary gains through ads then blogging on an established blog host website could be a much better decision since traffic is already being directed there.

Now you have created your blog by registering it you need to start thinking about what’s next. The first step is to create your home page which is the main page of your blog like the homepage of a website. In the home page, you can share who you are, add pictures, include professional or business information and all other information that would help create that first impression that you want people to get from the blog. It’s like the cover to your book.

Choosing the theme, the color, style, font, images, is all going to reflect who you/your business are and set a tone for the blog. For example if you work as a real estate agent and add an image of the stock market, then that might not represent you best, while adding an image of a house definitely will. So everything that you are going to add to your blog will be your direct reflection. You can share information and add visuals in a way that makes the visitor to come again and really enjoy visiting your blog.

Slowly and gradually you can add different things to your blog such as new events in your life, making categories to share information on specific topics, which will keep the readers coming back for more. It’s best to add information that you know and are well informed on whether it be gardening, tips on good writing, better parenting, etc. When adding subcategories within your blog make sure they are labeled in a way that makes the content clear. Also make it user friendly by making it easy to navigate with clearly labeled tabs for individual pages.

If you want to use your blog to promote business, you can add different images to promote products in an organized way, can also write reviews and compare different products, which you think work best, so that your readers can have a hands on information on what they should buy. For example, if you are selling laptops, you can upload images with different angles, as well as their specifications.

A comment box or a post box can be added so that different individuals can add their opinion about those products, which can be rated. This will help the buyers to make their decision when going through the information. You must add your contact information so that the buyers can contact you and can have more information before buying.

One last note is choosing a privacy level for your blog. Many people have run into trouble in the past when they post information that was meant for only a few to see but was made visible to the entire blog community. When creating your blog you can choose if it will be completely open to the public, which a business blog would need to be, or private and accessible to certain individuals.
